Alcon recognized this need early in 2020 and quickly shifted to modernizing its technology stack to the one based on AWS and commercetools and connected to various other systems and platforms (e.g. Acquia) to provide an eCommerce solution to support a long-term roadmap through a multi-year multi-national rollout. By utilizing the right technology and the right partner, Alcon was able to create an eCommerce foundation that would enable faster experiences by decreasing effort, costs, and time.
